Model Validation Testing
RMPS, Inc. have been involved in the analysis and testing on over 750 units over the past decade. The procedures developed for use on the WECC system have been adopted by NERC and the various Regional Councils with some Region-specific changes.
RMPS can develop test procedures, test outlines and coordinate generation owner’s requirements with NERC requirements and procedures.
MOD-025 – Verification of Generator Gross and Net Real and Reactive Power Capability
MOD-026 – Verification of Models and Data for Generator Excitation System
MOD-027 – Verification of Models and Data for Turbine/Governor and Load Control or Active Power/Frequency Control Functions
MOD-032 -- Data for Power System Modeling and Analysis
RMPS can develop PW, PSS/E or GE PSLF models for the testing and verification results and ensure the models are in compliance with all requirements. RMPS can provide draft and final reports detailing the components and procedures used for modeling each of the parameters, input measurements for each component, and model input data. RMPS will provide a comparison of actual vs simulated model response for each of the components required in the standards
